I grew up in a huge, crazy family, and I feel I am better for it. My family has always held close the motto: "It takes a village to raise a child". Between Mothers and Fathers, Aunts and Uncles, sibling and cousins... I never had to be alone, unless-of course-I wanted to be. I was very active and giggly growing up. My half-sister Ash and I along with our sister-cousin, Mariposa, were known as "triple trouble". Any grouping that included two or more of us was sure to be loud and crazy, and our family soon grew used to it. Sometimes we even got my sister Lola into the crazy times, though, she's much more quiet than the rest of us. When I was 16, I fell completely head over heels in love with Collin. It was... complicated. Everything in large families is. His Uncle Alex is my father (well, technically, Step-father, but I hate the term "step" as if we're relegating people to a lower distinction simply because they are not family by blood.) It was further complicated by the fact that his mother and my mother were lovers once upon a time (when they were pregnant with us, oddly enough). But, we were young, stupid, and in love. Well, actually... we weren't all that stupid. I was on the pill, but much like my mother before me, I wound up pregnant on it. Our eldest son was born when Collin and I were 17, and we married the next year. Of course, like all couples, we've had our hard times, For those of you not keeping up? I've left my husband and we are getting a divorce. Welcome to my crazy life. She is used for the purpose of fic writing and roleplay as well as furthering her character development. Please note that this version of Dawna is not the same Dawna who writes whendaybreaks.
